Everyday Math Curriculum

Notre Dame School implemented a math curriculum for grades K4-6th grade this past year moving to Everyday Math. In addition to the curriculum change we are partnering with the Center for Elementary Math and Science Education (CEMSE) at the University of Chicago. It is a highly rigorous program that requires 90 minutes of instruction per day, technology in every classroom, and manipulates and games for our students. The students have really enjoyed the switch and many tell me how much they like math this year. Our teachers also have a math coach for professional development and coaching to assist with this new curriculum.
