OUR MISSION: Revitalize a 1905 campus with new facilities and improved services to serve students in our co-ed primary school and boys middle school

Letter from President Patrick Landry
Since its founding in 1996 as a girls middle school with 26 students, Notre Dame School of Milwaukee has been responsive to the needs of the community we serve. Realizing the need for high-quality Catholic education for younger children, in 2012, NDSM opened our co-ed primary school. Most recently, in 2018, we started a boys middle school program to provide a pathway for our male students and the families who wanted the NDSM experience for their sons. The addition of the boys middle school coupled with our record high enrollment of 540 students has resulted in a need for renovated and additional learning spaces. With this in mind, NDSM’s Expanding Our Vision capital campaign aims to transform our Mother Caroline Campus to serve the needs of our growing school.

As the result of extensive strategic planning, the Expanding Our Vision campaign strikes the balance of being visionary yet practical at a critical point in the school’s history. Our facility may be old but, with a whole city block in the heart of a neighborhood we want to serve, there are many blessings at the corner of Layton and Greenfield. We have a school building that is in good shape, a church, and a rectory with plentiful office space. For years, our parents and staff have asked for a gym, library, science laboratory, additional classrooms, and ADA accessibility. Our campaign encompasses all of these to give our students the facilities they deserve. To accomplish this, we need your help. Our alumni are successful but young. Our parents give their time and talent but have limited financial means, and so we need the help of the surrounding community of generous donors who believe that all children should have access to a high-quality Catholic education.

The demand for quality seats in Milwaukee is great. We have had successful results for over twenty years with our extended-day/year/life model and graduate support programs. We are excited to be able to graduate more students in this high-quality model by serving our boys as well as our growing enrollment.

It is my prayer that the community will respond to this campaign with a generous heart and keep in mind the multitude of ways that this campaign will positively affect our families. Thank you for your interest in helping achieve our goals and carry out our mission. Together, we will expand our vision.
