NDSM Summer School
Learning, Growth, and Joy
At Notre Dame School of Milwaukee (NDSM), learning takes on new energy in the summer.
As part of our extended-day/year/life model, our Summer School Program offers students a safe, engaging, and faith-filled environment where they continue building academic skills, exploring new interests, and forming strong friendships. Through hands-on learning, enrichment activities, and community partnerships, students stay curious, confident, and connected all summer long.
Purpose and Focus
NDSM’s Summer School Program is designed to help students maintain academic progress, build confidence, and discover new passions.
By combining classroom learning with creativity, faith, and fun, our program supports the whole child — preparing them for a strong start in the upcoming school year.
Students participate in a balance of:
- Reading and math enrichment to strengthen academic foundations
- STEM, art, and music activities that inspire creativity
- Physical education and outdoor play for healthy habits
- Faith-based reflection and service projects that reinforce our mission and values

Summer school also includes opportunities to explore music, art, STEM, sports, and leadership. These experiences encourage curiosity and teamwork — helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.
Faith and Character Formation
Each day begins with prayer and reflection, inviting students to live out NDSM’s values of Respect, Regalo, and Responsibility in their words and actions.
Summer Camp and After-School Care
To support families beyond the academic day, NDSM offers after school care and summer camp immediately following the Summer School Program. This engaging, activity-based program provides a fun, structured environment where students can continue to learn, play, and grow. This program gives students the chance to stay active, make new friends, and explore new interests — all in a safe, supportive environment led by trusted NDSM staff.
Spots are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students rotate between a variety of recreational and creative activities, such as:

Technology & E-Sports: Guided digital competitions and teamwork-based learning
Free Play & Team Games: Cooperative activities that encourage friendship and fun
Community Partners
NDSM’s Summer School is enriched through partnerships with local organizations that bring hands-on learning, creativity, and mentorship to our students. Past partners have offered opportunities in STEM education, leadership development, the arts, and outdoor learning, all reinforcing our mission of forming well-rounded, faith-filled learners.
